About Me

I’m a sea turtle biologist who unexpectedly founded Saudi Arabia’s very first Sea Turtle Rescue Center—an adventure that reshaped my life and rewired how many view conservation.

My mission is simple: to share the journey of establishing that center, and to shed light on how this work influenced both local communities and industry workers to rethink their relationship with endangered wildlife. I want to spark wonder in students, teaching them about sea turtles—keystone species of our oceans—in ways that are creative, engaging, and unforgettable. Maybe even life-changing.

For over 14 years, I’ve taught marine biology in the Arabian Gulf and worked tirelessly in sea turtle rescue. My background as a veterinary nurse strengthened the medical side of our operations, giving injured turtles a fighting chance at survival.

Beyond the shell and surf, I’ve worn many hats. I’ve conducted wetland delineation, worked as an environmental investigator, and served as a wildlife biologist. But the biggest slice of my career, apart from my turtle work, was as a shark biologist—studying some of the ocean’s most misunderstood creatures.

I’ve devoted most of my adult life to rescuing animals of all kinds. While others collect mortgages, I collect vet bills—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
