My children had a wonderful time and learnt so much in Cathy’s marine life hands-on classes taught at the beach and marine rescue center. Cathy infuses her enthusiasm, experience, and knowledge into her classes. The students appreciate her kind, grounded personality and exciting topics and delivery. Cathy provides unique, marine biology hands-on experiences that expand children’s curiosity and confidence about the ocean, the creatures that live there, and how we can help protect them.

Cathy McDaniel’s extensive knowledge of marine biology and passion for saving sea turtles was evident, as she talked about the history of Saudi Aramco’s rescue program in Ras Tanura.
She used videos and photos in an interactive session to teach about the purpose and operations of the Turtle Rescue Center, to an audience of Aramcons wanting to understand and contribute.
As a result of her impassioned presentation she received significant financial donations to purchase pools, pumps, tanks and materials.

I took my 4th graders to experience Marine Adventure classes with Cathy McDaniel & my students rated the experience 5 out of 5 stars. Cathy’s knowledge & passion were contagious. For weeks after our visit, I heard students still talking about facts they learned from her classes. I can’t wait to go back with next year’s group!

I can't thank you enough, for the experiences given to my boys in the marine adventures and the valuable knowledge that they learnt. It was, by far, the best thing offered to the community for the children, and my boys have very fond memories of those adventures, (that's exactly what they were). Thank you for sharing your love of marine life with us!

Cathy brings not only deep academic knowledge of marine biology, but – above all – a rare mix of passion, patience, and selfless dedication to sea turtle conservation. She has a real gift for connecting with young people: my son had the fortunate experience of volunteering with Cathy, who gently guided, inspired, and passed on her love for the ocean to the next generation. I witnessed first-hand her thoughtful educational tours for schools, scouts, and community groups in the centre she built from nothing - entirely through her own effort, money, and time - enrolling others in her vision with the strength of her passion. She makes complex science accessible, fun, and meaningful. Her work is heart-led and grounded, and the impact she’s had on both people and turtles speaks for itself. We miss her. Count yourself lucky if you have her close to your circle.
